Obituary of Ronald Roy Mattfeld

Ron Mattfeld Ron Mattfeld, age 61, passed away, Tuesday, June 6, at his home in Camas. He was born October 11, 1944 in Vancouver, WA. Ron worked for the Camas Paper Mill in the storeroom and as an electrician for over 40 years. He lived his life with honesty and integrity and was someone you could count on to be there to help you with anything. He loved kids and always waved and smiled at those little guys in high chairs at restaurants. He was looking forward to being a Grandpa in December. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed his many friends. Some of Ron's favorite activities included playing baseball, camping , hunting, clam digging, playing cards, golfing, cheering on the Mariners and one of his most loved was working in his woods with his Kubota tractor. When you see that orange streak in an early morning sunrise or late evening sunset it'll be Ron on his Kubota-give him a wave. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. We¹ll miss him and hold him in our hearts forever. He is survived by his wife, Becky at home, son & daughter in law, Ryan & Christine Mattfeld of Seattle, son, Quinn Mattfeld of Camas, mother, Maxine Slatter of Washougal, Sister, Anita Wiltfong of Camas, in-laws, Marvin & Anne Ziegler of Camas & Kent & Denise Ziegler of Washougal , five nephews and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
