Obituary of Michael Ray Woodman

MICHAEL R. WOODMAN Michael Woodman, of Camas, passed away Monday, April 24, 2006 in Portland, OR. He was 63. Michael was born September 3, 1942 in Camas to Lester and Mary Woodman. He spent his whole life in the Camas/Washougal area. Michael joined the Navy and served in the Construction Battalion. He later worked for George Schmid & Sons for over 30 years. Michael has spent the past few years working for Haag & Shaw in Camas. Michael married Patty Collard on March 25, 1995. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed black powder hunting and fishing. He liked doing landscaping and loved his family especially being with his grandchildren. He is remembered as being a ?Man?s Man? and also being there for anyone who needed him. Survivors include his wife, Patty, at home; son, Michael Woodman of San Diego, CA; daughter, Martha Kraft of Washougal; step-sons, Jason and Christopher Mansfield both of Washougal; father, Lester Woodman of Washougal; brothers, Johnny and Tim Woodman both of Vancouver, Lester ?Bud? Woodman of Washougal; sisters, Janette Smith of Vancouver, JoAnn Listy of Milwaukie, OR and 4 grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be Friday, April 28, at 3pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. In lieu of flowers, family asks that memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society @ 0330 SW Curry St., Portland, OR 97239.
