RAYMOND ARMSTRONG MITCHELL
Raymond Mitchell, of Washougal, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2006 in Camas. He was 85. Mr. Mitchell was born June 16, 1920 in Portland, OR and grew up in Clark County. He served in the Navy during WWII and fought in several battles. Raymond married Lura ?Dolly? Goham in 1969 and they made their home in Washougal. Mr. Mitchell worked for Alcoa for 29 years and was a volunteer at the Treasure House. He loved taking his family fishing, doing macramé, flowers, and traveling. He had a large collection of wind chimes and did a lot of woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Lura, at home; daughters, Martha Radliff of Camas, Kathy Brown and Dee Mox both of Vancouver; 4 step-daughters and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
A memorial luncheon will be Saturday, April 29 at 1pm at the Washougal Methodist Church. Private inurnment will be at the Camas Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to the Washougal Methodist Church.
