BETTY LOU CONNER Betty Lou Conner, a Camas resident, died Wednesday March 22nd in Vancouver. She was 75. Betty was born January 11, 1931 in Denver, CO to Madeline Kelly and Carl Jones. She grew up in Denver and met Dennis Conner there. They were married August 6, 1948. Dennis? career in the Air Force took them to many places, even Germany. When he retired they moved back to his hometown of Camas. Betty worked in the health care industry as a Nurses Aid and a Physical Therapy aid. She loved to play Bingo, which was her passion. She also enjoyed card and board games with her family. She always looked forward to drives in the country where she could spot an elk before anyone else. She and Dennis have been dividing their time between Camas and Arizona the last few years. Mrs. Conner is survived by her husband at home; sons Dennis and Michael both of Vancouver and Patrick of Chehalis; sister Shari Krause of Lake Oswego, OR and 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary in 2003. The family will celebrate Betty?s life with a private gathering. They suggest remembrances be made to the American Heart Association.
