Obituary of Idella J. Ritter

IDELLA J. RITTER Idella Ritter, of Washougal, passed away Thursday, April 13 in Vancouver at the age of 89. She was born June 27, 1916 in Arnegard, ND. She moved to the Camas area in 1941 to work at the local paper mill. Idella married Leonard Ritter on July 18, 1949 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Camas and became a homemaker. Mrs. Ritter was a well known babysitter in the Camas and Washougal area and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Camas Moose Lodge #1042. Idella enjoyed knitting and doing ceramics. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard and a brother, Carroll Evanson. Survivors include her sons, Mark and Wayne Ritter both of Washougal; brothers, Orvis Evanson of Arnegard, ND, Glenn Evanson of Great Falls Montana, Gerald Evanson of Steilacoom, WA; sisters, Eleanor Wright, Phyllis Hutchinson, Jean Ellenz all of Washougal, Gloria Keller of Valparaiso, IN, Delores Price of Milwaukie, OR; 4 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Thursday, April 20 at 1pm at the Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Vault interment will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9am to 5pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Memorial donations can be given to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
