Obituary of Dorothy J. Zimmer

DOROTHY J. ZIMMER Dorothy Zimmer, age 75, passed away Sunday, March 26 in Vancouver. She was born February 8, 1931 in Bronx, NY where she grew up. After high school she moved to Cottonwood, CA and worked on Merchant Ships in the Stewards services for 10 years. Dorothy briefly lived in Atlanta, GA to help take care of her mother before moving back to Red Bluff, California with her son, Richard. Dorothy worked as a waitress before she retired and moved to Vancouver in 2002. She loved her family, going fishing, and horse racing. She also enjoyed birds, plants and cooking. She is survived by her son Richard Zimmer and his wife, Marilyn of Red Bluff, CA; brother, Joseph Fanelli of Florida; grandchildren Tiffany & Patrick Dugan of Vancouver, Matthew & Mary Zimmer of Battle Ground, WA; and 5 great grandchildren.
