Obituary of Charles W. ''Bill'' Davis

CHARLES W. ?BILL? DAVIS Bill Davis, age 82, passed away Friday, March 3 in Vancouver. He was born January 21, 1924 in Greenfield, MA to Harry & Elizabeth Davis. Bill served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a pilot and in 1951 he married his loving wife Susanna Salisbury. They had been married for 54 years. They moved to Camas in 1952 where Bill worked for Crown Zellerbach until he retired in 1982. He was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. After he retired they moved to Vancouver and became members of St. James Catholic Church. Bill also enjoyed world wide travel. He is survived by his wife Susanna at home; sons, Charles, Jr. of Issaquah, WA, Christopher of Newport Beach, CA, Timothy and Thomas both of Vancouver; brother, John of Bonnet Shores, RI; and 4 grandchildren. A memorial mass will be Thursday, March 9th at 12:10 PM at St. James Catholic Church in Vancouver. Inurnment will be private at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to either the St. James Building Fund or to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.
