Obituary of Francis Marion Bisson

FRANCIS M. BISSON Francis M. Bisson, age 85, passed away Sunday, December 26 at home in Camas. He was born July 25, 1920 in White Earth, MN to Ernest and Celestine Bisson on the Chippewa Indian Reservation. Mr. Bisson moved to Washington State when he was 20 years of age and worked as a log truck driver and auto mechanic. He moved to Ridgefield in 1959 and has spent the past 8 years in Camas. Francis loved playing his guitar, his first love, and was a member of the Old Time Fiddler?s. He also love hunting and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Celestine; sisters, Ernestine, Margaret, May, Gloria and Betty; and brothers, Ben and Ted. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Fletcher of Vancouver; Sandra of California, Judy of California; son, Tony Bisson of Vancouver; sister, Julia Englehardt of Yuma, AZ; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and special companion, Florence White of Camas. A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 4, at 1pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
