I\'m so sorry I couldn\'t make the funeral as I am in charge of the Christmas Program at our church and we were having practice.
My fond memory of Ruth was when I was going to Idaho and she went with me as far a Walla Walla and then rode a bus all the way back to Washougal. I was so glad to have her company and I\'m so sorry that we didn\'t keep in touch. We were friends through the Salmon Falls Chapel and then even after that until I got married and moved to Vancouver.
Ruth lived right across the street from us while growing up and I have very good memories of her playing the organ and always smiling and being very happy. She had a special bird bath that she used to give my dog water. She even took a picture for me-just so I could see it and printed it out herself.Allot of my time spent at her place with George was with there granddaughter Debbie-as we are the same age and when she was there visting we were always together. George and Ruth were like extra grandparents for me. Really enjoyed both of them thru my whole childhood growning up.My parents still live across the street from there old house in Fern Prairie. I think of them both often. They were very special to me and my family.
