Obituary of Sylvester Tillman

SYLVESTER TILLMAN Sylvester Tillman, of Camas, passed away Nov. 22 in Vancouver at the age of 88. He was born Aug. 14, 1917 in Little Falls, MN where he was raised. Sylvester enlisted in the Army during WWII and served in Europe and was awarded the Bronze Star. In 1947 he married Pauline Twardoski and they would move to the Camas area in 1951. He worked as a machine tender for Crown Zellerbach and retired in 1982. Mr. Tillman enjoyed bowling, fishing, and gambling. He is survived by his wife, Pauline of Camas; daughter, Patt Taylor of Camas; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A vigil service will be Friday, Nov. 25 at 7pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass will be Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11am at St. Thomas. In inurnment will be private.
