Obituary of Ellen Udell Jensen

ELLEN UDELL JENSEN Ellen Udell Jensen, age 86, passed away November 11 in Camas. She was born April 23, 1919 in Yakima, WA to Ernest and Vanetta Brahs. She was raised in Yakima and Vancouver and moved to Washougal in the late 1930?s. Ellen worked at the shipyards then the Camas Inn. Her last few years of her working life were at Crown Zellerbach in the Converting Plant. Mrs. Jensen had spent the last several years living at Highland Terrace Nursing Center in Camas. She used to crochet intricate clothes for dolls and make afghans and ceramics. She would also play solitaire by the hours. She is survived by her children, James William Brandes III of Mt. Vernon, WA, Bettie Jean Haag of Washougal, Patti Lape of Camas, 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. At her request the will be no services. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to Highland Terrace Nursing Center @ 640 NE Everett, Camas, WA 98607.
