ELLEN RUNDELL Ellen Rundell, age 90, passed away Sunday December 25, 2011. She was born October 18, 1921 to Louis and Mary Lodmell of Hines Minnesota. She was born at home and raised on the family farm until WWII when she moved to Washington to work at the ship yards as a welder's helper. She returned home after the war and married Frank Frances Rundell. Ellen and Frank lived in Chicago where their son Craig was born in 1951 and later moved to Grand Rapids Minnesota where their daughter Julie was born in 1955. In 1961 the family moved back to Washougal, WA. Ellen lived in White Salmon for 16 years and moved to Stevenson her last 3 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers John, Carl, and Norman and her sisters Esther Ells, Caroline Ells and her husband Frank. She is survived by her sister Mini Bedell of Seattle WA. her son Craig Rundell of Underwood, WA., daughter Julie Hopkins of Skamania, WA., 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A private graveside service was held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. A public memorial service was held on Saturday December 31, 2011 at 1pm at the Citizen Center in Washougal.
