Obituary of Dorothy Ann Straughan

DOROTHY ANN STRAUGHAN Dorothy Straughan, age90, passed away October, 11 in Vancouver. She was born February 13, 1915 in Spokane, WA and grew up in Cheney, WA. Dorothy married Raphael Straughan in 1938 in Cheney and they moved to Lyle, WA in 1940. In 1951 they moved to Camas and settled in Washougal in 1963. Dorothy was a homemaker and a 4-H Leader. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. She taught religious education for several years and part of the original group of the Treasure House. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Raphael, in 1998. Survivors include daughters, Ellen Smith of Washougal; Marjorie & Jerry Kauffman of Vancouver; son, Robert & Sally Straughan of Vale, OR; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A vigil service will be Thursday, October 13, at 5:30 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass will be Friday, October 14 at 10 am at the church. Vault interment will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am to 3:30 pm at Straub?s Funeral Home.
