Obituary of Lonita H. McCoy

LONITA HELEN McCOY Lonita McCoy, age 90, of Camas, passed away September 30 in Vancouver. She was born March 8, 1915 in Portland, OR. She married Willard McCoy and they settled in Camas. She worked as a production planner for Crown Zellerbach for many years and retired in the early 1970?s. Willard passed away in 1973. Willard was the Camas fire chief and she used to enjoy traveling with him to take delivery of new emergency vehicles. She love to fish and enjoyed taking day trips to look for deer. Lonita also used to sew. She was a good-hearted person and contributed to every charity that asked. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Herber of Salem, OR; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Saturday, October 22 at 1pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Private vault interment will be at the Camas Cemetery. Memorials can be given to the Camas Paramedics.
