Mavis, both Barney and I were very sorry to learn of Clyde\'s passing. We have thought of you and your family many times and have only the best of memories of time spent in the Friends church and especially so of both you and Clyde. Shirley
Soccer games will have an empty space without Clyde presence. Fond memories are good wraps for each of our now days.
Blessings and sympathy to each of his family members who mourn Clyde absence.
Clyde Pooty as we called him, was a great friend in grade school and high school. It is sad that we grow apart as we grow older, however, our class always stayed quite close and he will be truly missed.
To the Hartman family, you are in our hearts and prayers. When my mom passed away, my sister and I wanted Clyde to perform the service. But he was unable to, because of his health. When I heard of his passing, I thought alot of my old friends, because Clyde had a big influence on us all. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
Please accept my sincerest condolences at this difficult time. I want you to know that the influence Clyde had on my life as an impressionable teenager "saved my life." I was at a "crossroads" in my life at that time and Clyde was instrumental in presenting the gospel to me at Young Life meetings. I knew that he genuinely loved me and I loved spending time with your family. I still talk to people about our mission trips to the orphanage in Mexico!! What wonderful memories. Thank you for what your family has done in the lives of kids for so many years. Clyde is wearing his "crown of glory" and I look forward to meeting him again some day. I pray for God\'s comfort and blessings for you today.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Clyde\'s passing. He leaves a tremendous legacy to his family and community through his exemplary life of service to his Lord, esp. with regards to young people. We are eternally grateful for his contribution to Young Life over the years. You, dear family, are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. May God be ever so close to you in the coming days...
My wife-to-be and I met Clyde at a Young Life meeting in Camas in 1970! YL was an important part of my life for through high school. Clyde welcomed and accepted all with open heart and arms!
I\'m sure he is in the Arms of the Lord now!
Our thoughts and prayers are with the you all during this difficult time.
Kind regards,
Don & Candy Payne
