STANLEY MICHAEL BONK Stanley Bonk, age 86, passed away October 3 in Camas, WA. He was born July 19, 1919 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada. He moved to Chicago as a youngster and he grew up there. After high school he went to the Chicago School of Topography and got his associates degree. He then joined the Army and entered the service as a medical surgical corpsman during WWII. After his discharge he came back to Chicago and married Rosemary Tuton. After several moves they ended up in the Eugene area where he built their home. They moved to Gresham 3 ½ years ago then to Camas 5 months ago to be closer to family. Stanley loved camping, fishing and square dancing. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and the St. Helen?s Church in Junction City. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary of Camas, sons, Jeffrey Bach of Oxnard, CA, Scott Bock of Camas, WA and 3 grandchildren. A was preceded in death by a brother, Walt and a sister, Louise. A private celebration of Stanley?s life will be held at a later date. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Crematory in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
