Obituary of Denise K. Laudert

DOROTHY K. LAUDERT Dorothy K. Laudert, age 85, passed away Friday, September 2 in Camas. She was born June 27, 1920 in Oregon City, OR to David and Christina Krause Bottenmiller. She graduated from Oregon City High School and moved with her family to Washougal in 1938. Dorothy worked for a local bank and the JC Penny store in Camas. In 1970 she married Robert Laudert and became a day care provider. She later went to work at the Washougal Post Office as a custodian and after 13 years she retired in 1998. Dorothy was a founding member of St. Mathew Lutheran Church in Washougal and had been most recently attending Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. She loved children, animals and working in her gardens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her son, Leonard Bottenmiller. Survivors include her granddaughters, Jamie High and Sarah Meyer both of Washougal; sisters, Jeanne Durrett, Ferne Facey, Arline Zorn and Gerry Turnbow all of Washougal and 4 great grandchildren. A remembrance gathering will be held Thursday, September 8 at 4pm in the social hall at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas was in charge of the arrangements.
