JIM MARSHALL Jim Marshall, of Washougal, passed away Saturday, May 14 at SW Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. He was 76. Jim was born March 18, 1929 in Norton, KS to Jesse and Mabel Thieler Marshall. He was raised in Rexford, KS until moving to Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 12. There he graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Navy. Mr. Marshall was stationed at Astoria, OR and was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. After his service he met Ingrid Donnowitz in Camas, WA and they married in 1952. They made their home in the Rockwood area in east Multnomah county and Jim worked as a long haul truck driver. Ingrid passed away in 1981 and Jim moved to Washougal in 1990. Jim then met June Baldwin and they were married in 1999. Mr. Marshall loved to dance. He also enjoyed trips to the beach, baseball and tinkering in his shop. Jim was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Portland and a Past Commander of the American Legion Post #27 in Camas. He is survived by his wife, June, at home; sons, Rick of Gresham, OR, Dana of Sandy, OR, sister, Donna Waterman of Atwood, KS and 4 grandchildren. A graveside service will be Monday, May 23 at 1pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Straub?s Funeral Home & Columbia River Crematory in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
