EDWARD FORREST JONES Edward Forrest Jones, a Camas resident, died Sunday April 17th in Vancouver. He was 76 years old. Edward was born March 9, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Helen Marie Schlottach and Edward Richard Jones. After being raised in St. Louis he joined the Army and served in Korea. He returned to St. Louis after his discharge and went to work for the Pevely Dairy, a job he held for many years. He married Carmelita ?Pat? Sommers in 1960. They moved to La Puente, California and lived there for 35 years. While there, Edward worked as a Brazier in the air conditioning industry. After his retirement, they moved to Camas and have lived here the last 11 years. Mr. Jones was an antique car enthusiast. He owned many cars over his lifetime and loved buying, trading and showing them. He is survived by his wife, Carmelita ''Pat'' Jones of Camas; son, Richard Jones of Maui, HI; brothers, Richard Jones of Upland, CA and William Jones of Perris, CA. A memorial mass for Edward Jones will be held on Monday April 25th at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. The family suggests that remembrances in his name be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House, 2112 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
