Barbara was a very knowledgeable and helpful contributor to the Multiple Myeloma list serv. She shared with all of us the knowledge she had learned fighting this disease.
She inspired me to keep a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances.
Please convey to her family and friends that her giving spirit and concern for others made her a very special person to us all. She never mentioned that her condition was declining, but always showed concern for others on the list.
Best regards,

It as very heartwarming for me to see all of the people that cared so very much for Barbara. I would like all of you to know that her daughter is doing remarkably well. She was legally adopted two weeks ago and is settling into her new family, routines, activities, and friends very well. She was adopted by a couple who have known her for 2.5 years. This same couple was at Barbara\'s bedside during her final days, and they made sure that all of Barbara\'s requests and wishes were granted. It was tragic to see Barbara go so quickly 10 days from the day she entered the hospital, she put on a brave face and fought hard until the very end. Peace be with each and every one of you.
