JACK MARVIN NELSON
Jack Nelson, age 66, passed away Saturday, February 12 at home in Washougal. He was born January 5, 1939 in Council Bluffs, IA to Nels and Krista Mikklesen Nelson. They moved to Washougal when Jack was 5 years old and he graduated from Washougal High School in 1957. He married Joan Walton on January 18, 1958 and worked 40 years as a cement finisher. Jack was a sports fanatic and went to all the local sports events whether he knew any of the players or not. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in his yard.
He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Survivors include his wife, Joan at home; sons, David, Bradley, Tom, and Jack Jr. all of Washougal; daughter, Jodi Payne of Washougal; sisters, Norma Clough and Nancy Carlson both of Washougal, Carol Tootie Morris of Woodland, WA; brother, Ray Nelson of Gresham, OR; 8 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Thursday, February 17 at 2pm at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10am to 5pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas.
