My dearest Dave and Cheri,
The sorrow you must be feeling has to be completely overwhelming. If the best wishes of your friends and family could come true, this day would never have arrived, but some wishes, however heartfelt, don\'t come true. We all know that Zoie\'s passing will always be with you, as will be the dreams you had for her. What could have been will linger.
Zoie, in her fight for life, gave us something that is precious and to be cherished: she gave us the opportunity to see the world for what it could be, what it should be. She made us all stop to look at our lives and appreciate the gifts we take for granted. She opened our eyes to the deep, strong, and persistant love that parents have for their children and how hard they will fight to protect them from harm.
Zoie will leave a legacy of love...the love you gave her and the love for her that bonds your family. Zoie\'s legacy of love extends itself to include your friends who love you and in doing so loved her as well.
Please accept our love of friendship, our wishes that Zoie\'s life brought moments of tenderness and precious memories, our deepest sympathies, and sincerest condolences for your immense loss. Our hearts are with you.
