Obituary of Margaret Ellen Medlin

MARGARET ELLEN MEDLIN Margaret Medlin, of Camas, passed away Monday, Nov. 15 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. She was born September 7, 1921 in Seattle, WA to John and Martha Uleberg Scott. She was raised in Seattle and attended the University of Washington. Margaret later went to work at Boeing and it was there that she met John Medlin. They were married in 1944 in Hollywood, FL while John was in the service. After his service in the military they moved back to Seattle until 1952 when his work moved them to the east coast where she was a homemaker and raised their family. They moved to California in 1978 and after John retired they move to Sequim, WA. They have been living in Camas since 1992. Margaret was an avid cook and enjoyed studying the stock market. She was devoted to her family and volunteered as a tutor at the local schools. She was also active at the Washougal Senior Center and was an accomplished bridge player. Survivors include her husband, John at home; daughter, Marcia Moen of North Bonneville, WA; sons, John K. of Stevenson, WA, Marc of Washougal; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. To sign the online guest book visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
