BRIAN IRVIN BAKER Brian Baker, age 57, passed away Friday, November 5 at his home in Vancouver. He was born March 9, 1947 in Vancouver to James and Dorothy Baker. He grew up in Vancouver and graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1965. He went to college for a time and then enlisted in the Air Force. He served during Vietnam and returned in 1970 and went back to college. Brian married Christy Flan in Vancouver in 1972. He was an avid fisherman and fly fishing was his passion. He tied his own flies, made his own rods and had his own website. He even had a successful business on E-Bay importing and selling reels and rods from Great Britain. Family was most important to him. He loved all sports and shared that with his children. He is survived by his wife, Christy, at home; son, Erin Baker of Battle Ground; daughter, Stephanie Baker of Vancouver, Ariana Storm of Fort Hood, TX; brothers, Craig Baker of Vancouver, Cary Baker of Portland, OR and 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Friday at 11am at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
