Obituary of Helen Resner

HELEN RESNER Helen Resner, age 93, passed away Friday, October 15 at home in Vancouver. Helen was born November 19, 1910 in Wishek, ND to Christian and Caroline Rath Hochhalter. She grew up in North Dakota and married Fred Resner on October 25, 1931 in Rosebud, MT. They lived in Reeder, ND to a year and a half before moving to Washougal in 1933. Mrs. Resner was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas and sung in the choir for 30 years. She was also a member of Zion?s quilting circle for many years and enjoyed gardening and canning for her extended family. She is survived by her husband, Fred, at home; son Roy Resner of Washougal; daughter, Lillian Daily of Lakewood, WA; brothers, John Hocchalter of Livingston, MT, Larry Hochhalter of Battleground, WA; sisters, Millie Ehrmantrout of Bonner?s Ferry, ID, Ruth Richardson of Hemet, CA; 7 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. A funeral service will be Wednesday, October 20 at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 10am to 5pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Straub?s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
