Obituary of Janet May Stebbins

JANET MAY STEBBINS Janet Stebbins, of Vancouver, passed away Wednesday, October 13 in Longview, WA. She was 65. Janet was born June 8, 1939 in Vancouver. She grew up and graduated from Camas High School in 1957. She then attended Oregon State University and later moved to Clatskanie, OR where she worked as the secretary for the Rainer School District. Janet moved to Portland, OR and began working for NALCO Chemical Company as an executive secretary. In 1985 she moved to Vancouver and in 2003 she retired from the chemical company after 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren and reading. She was also very involved with the International Order of Rainbows. Survivors include her daughter, Jackie Palmer of Monument, CO; son, Jim Stebbins of Rainier, OR; brother, Charles Day of Camas, WA; sister, Pat Howell of Vancouver, WA and 7 grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday, October 16 at 10am at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas, WA. Inurnment will be at the Camas Cemetery.
