Obituary of Jacob John Mulder

JACOB JOHN MULDER Jacob John Mulder age 76 of Washougal, passed away June 6 in Washougal. He was born March 14, 1928 in Amsterdam, Holland to Johanna Slotboom and John Mulder. The family immigrated to the United States when Jacob was one. He graduated from Milwaukie, OR high school then served a mission for the LDS church to the Netherlands at the age of 21. He returned home and entered the US Army, serving 18 months in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1956. Jake married Ann M. Daniels on September 16, 1957. Jake was a respected businessman in the Portland area for over 35 years,owning and operating National Business Equipment and Mailing and Printing Systems. Jake served faithfully in many capacities for the LDS church his entire life in Portland and later in Washougal after moving there in 1992. Jake is survived by his wife Ann at home; sons Greg of Gold Canyon, AZ, Steve of Morgan Hill, CA and Robert of Vancouver, WA; daughter Julie Forsgren of Kennewick, WA; brothers John of Murrietta, CA and Jerry of Eagle, ID; 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday June 11 at 11am at the Washougal LDS chapel. Burial will follow at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
