KAY CAINE Kay Caine, 93, of Camas, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family Friday, June 1, 2007. Kay was born May 27, 1914 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas and grew up in Pendleton, OR where she graduated from high school and then went on to graduate from beauty college in 1933. She married and moved to Camas where she owned and operated her own beauty shop for 37 years. Kay was a Past Matron and a fifty-year member of Lackamas Chapter Order of Eastern Star and also past Royal Matron of Columbia Court #69 the Order of Amaranth and a Mother Advisor of International Order of Rainbow Girls. She was a member and past president of B.P.W. and a member of St. John?s Presbyterian Church. Kay moved to Arizona in 1971 to retire, travel, square dancing and golf. Kay had a hole in one at age 80, always bragging to her family about her golfing. Kay returned to Camas in 2005 to be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Caine, daughter, Carolyn K. Caine and one sister and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Charlie Caine Teri of Washougal, Bob Caine Colleen of Camas, 6 grandsons, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. At her request a service and inurnment will be private at the Camas Cemetery. Any memorials may be made to either the Camas or Washougal fire departments.
