Obituary of Paul Dean Sprouse

Sprouse, Paul Dean, age 80 passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 with family by his side. Paul was born in Joplin Missouri in February 1936 to Luther and Elsie Sprouse. Mr. Sprouse moved to California where he is a graduate of Huntington Park High in Huntington Park California. Paul joined the Navy right out of High School. He worked for Rocketdyne where he worked on the rockets for the Gemini Missions. Mr. Sprouse drove to Misssouri to marry Shirley V. Divine in December 1954 during a blizzard. They lived all over southern California with the company that Paul worked for. In 1969, Paul moved his family to Alaska. Paul studied at night to become an Electrician while working during the day. He traveled all over Alaska to build schools in the bush communities. He loved working with his hands and got a real joy in his work. Paul was a member of The Anchorage Baptist Temple for many years until moving from Alaska with his wife Shirley to St.George Utah in 1998. Together Paul and Shirley built a home. Paul became a member of Westside Baptist Church where he traveled to help other in need. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley V. Sprouse, 3 daughters, Patrician Ann Looslie, Valery Jean Newton and Kathy Lynn Stanley. He had 7 grandkids and 10 great grandchildren. Paul's service will be at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas, Washington on November 21st at 10am. Following will be burial at Willamette National Cemetery with Military Honors.
