Bobbie Hendrickson
October 27, 1933 – April 13, 20106
Bobbie had a zest for life that infected others and she had the firm belief of "Just do it."
Bobbie Hendrickson, 82, passed away peacefully in her WA. home on April 13th, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Salem, OR. On Oct. 27, 1933.
Bobbie raised her three children in Hazel Dell, WA with her husband George before moving to Washougal, WA. in 1978.
She purchased and operated Washougal Florist from 1977 until health concerns forced her to sell the shop and retire in 2003. Bobbie was known for her imaginative floral designs throughout Washougal and Vancouver. You could always find a full coffee pot, a willing ear, and no nonsense advice from Bobbie at her design table in her shop.
Bobbie always kept up on current political situations and always had strong political viewpoints. She wasn't afraid to share her political standing; and always had a lot of political flavor. She enjoyed traveling; abroad and locally with friends and family up until the time of her death. Her free time at home was spent as a card shark grannie playing bridge several times a week; and working puzzles in between bridge games.
Bobbie was loved for her wiliness to accept everyone as they were, while always being honest with her advice. She was supportive of anyone she met and enthusiastically encouraged people to "Just do it". It didn't matter what the life change was, she would cheer you on.
Survivors include her son, Chris Hendrickson; daughter, Annette Chipman; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Donna Volton.
Her Husband, George Hendrickson and son, Steven Hendrickson, preceded her in death.
A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Fri., April 22, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas, WA. Vault internment will take place at Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
