Estella Barratt Smith March 29th, 1921- February 17th, 2016 "Estella could light up a room with her warm smile." Estella Smith passed away on February 17th, 2016 in Vancouver, WA at the age of 95. Estella was born on March 29th, 1921 in Nanaimo, British Columbia to Millicent and Joseph Samuel Barratt. Estella moved to Camas, WA at the age of four and attended the Camas schools and graduated from Camas High School. Estella was very proud of becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen. She married Charles Smith in 1939 and was happily married for 74 years until his death in 2013. Estella and Charles had 2 children, Gary Smith Rosa of Vancouver and Sandra Walling Bill of Longview. Estella retired from Crown Zellerbach. Estella and Charles travelled widely and enjoyed fishing, and camping with family, and the 49ers. They wintered in Yuma, Arizona for many years and enjoyed many friends both at home and in Arizona. Estella loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her brother Jack late wife Doris lives in Vancouver and she was preceded in death by her brothers Ray Norma and Joe Donna. A celebration of her life will be held at Elite Care, 2400 NE 112th Ave. Vancouver, WA Sun. February 28th at 2PM.
