Obituary of Roger Anderson Goff

Roger Anderson Goff Roger Goff passed away on January 7, 2016 in Vancouver, WA at the age of 94. He was born May 22, 1921 in Oakland, CA. Roger was a decorated veteran of the Navy serving during WWII on the USS Enterprise as Quartermaster and in the Navy Seabees during the Korean War. After serving in the Merchant Marines, he joined the Saudi Arabian Oil Company Aramco and worked in San Francisco, New York, Houston and Saudi Arabia where he managed large international purchasing contracts. He also served as the Chief of Purchasing for Multnomah County, Oregon during the 1960's. Roger was an avid bicyclist and helped develop bike paths in the Gresham and Portland area. He was also a golfer, hiker, brewer, grape grower and wine maker and shared his lovely tenor voice as a member of the Eugene Gleeman singing group. He is survived by his wife of more than 70 years - June Goff, his daughter Loyce Forsgren and her husband Wayne Forsgren of Washougal, Lynda Goff of Davis, CA, Janice and her husband John Hinds of Portland, Douglas Goff of Albuquerque, NM and his 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services with military honors will be held at a later date at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
