Obituary of Dara L. Asbury Evans

Please share a memory of Dara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
DARA ASBURY EVANS Dara Asbury Evans, surrounded by family, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on November 16, 2015 as a result of complications due to cancer. Dara was born on May 31, 1969, in Spokane, WA to Tom and Cherie Asbury. In 2002, Dara graduated with a master's in accounting from the University of Washington. She went on to work as a Certified Public Accountant in Seattle and Portland. Dara was a child of God, ready to love and serve others at any moment. She was an accomplished pianist, playing for church since her teenage years. Time with her family and friends, skiing black diamond runs and traveling Europe were some of her other delights. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus and enthusiastically served Him; sharing the Good News of His salvation and redemption. Dara was a gift to all who knew her. Dara is survived by her husband Dan Evans; mother Cherie Hinseth; six sisters; one brother; and a ridiculous number of friends, many of them actually quite ridiculous. She was preceded by father, Tom Asbury and two sisters. Dara's service will be held Saturday, November 21st at 3:00 PM at Bethel Community Church 1438 B St, Washougal, WA 98671. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook please visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
