Miss you Vernon :- you taught me how to run the machines so they didn't run me...LOL..We sat side by side for all of our work years, talking about our family's and becoming vast friends that would last a life time. You were a man of high morals and integrity and lived your life "your way". Now your back with the love of your life!! Miss you my dearest friend! XXOX
Dear Dad,
You will live on in my heart and my memories forever. I miss you, but I am at peace knowing that you are rejoined with mom in Heaven.
And by the way, Happy 83rd birthday today. I hope that you and mom are celebrating in grand style!
You were the best dad a girl could ever hope to have.
I will love you always.
Until we meet again...
Debra
When I think of my brother in law Vernon, I think of kindness. Once many years ago, he took a group of family members out in the ocean salmon fishing in his big fishing boat. All was well until we left the river mouth and entered the ocean. I had taken Dramamine that morning but apparently not enough. As soon as the engine was turned off to begin fishing I started feeling really bad. As I turned green we began catching fish. I retreated to the head bathroom and when I came out Clay had caught a fish on my pole! Dear Vernon took one look at me and asked if I wanted to go back to camp. I nodded yes and he took the whole bunch back in. I'm sure everyone else was not happy about it but Vernon was just that kind. Many good memories of a good man. Rest in peace dear brother.
