So very sorry to hear about Tom's passing. We were roommates at the academy back in '90. I still remember his smile and laugh. Rest easy, old friend.

From a May 2011 article I wrote, after Davis' retirement dinner at Washougal High School-- He considers the position of school resource officer the best job he ever had. “It was so refreshing to have observed teachers and staff at those schools pour their hearts and souls into their work,” Davis said. “I learned from them that it only takes 15 minutes of caring for a troubled student to change their life and proudly stand at graduation and see them receive their diploma."

I was so sorry to hear that Tom passed away. My fondest memory was when Tom helped with outdoor school, at JMS, one year. Tom was fun, energetic, easy going and serious when needed. I know he will be missed! Mona

My condolences and prayers go out to the whole Davis family. I remember this cute little boy who grew up the next street down from the Guard Clan. What fun times we all had. He grew up to be a wonderful young man, and will be missed by many. I'm sure he and Bill and Sue are smiling down on all of you today. You'll all be in my prayers.

My hearts goes out to all the Davis family members. Being a volunteer firefighter it was fun to joke with Tom about which was better cops or firefighters. His smile always made you smile, he was so sincere but there if you needed someone to talk to or to listen. Take care my friend you will be missed.

Each day a new memory of Tom pops into my head so I can in no way list them all. He was a true friend and I can say when I supervised him, his job concerns were all about serving the folks of Washougal! I miss him, yet know he is with our Lord and his mom and dad..enjoy your visits with them and rest my friend..! You've earned it.

Dear Davis family and Carol,
As I ponder the memories of growing up in Washougal, I always remember Sue Davis, our school nurse. She was a loving mom to all kids in the school system and a driving force behind the Davis boys. Tom had a heart like Sue and a compassion for young people. Tom was patient and kind and yet you knew when he meant business. He was tall in stature and tall in our hearts. Missing him is easy...letting go has been hard. May God grant you all comfort, strength, courage and peace for each day forward.
Hugs and love and prayers,
Mary Schulze LaFrance

Dear Davis Families
We are so sorry and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Tom will be missed but we have the memories of our friendship we shared for many years.
We did many bike rides and alot of walking and talking and Tom made them an adventure.
"Tom's Protect Mode"
He always had us on alert for unsafe things or places and we did learn from him.
We had alot of coffee hours that were serious, interesting and fun.
Tom could make you laugh.
Were sure he is smiling now.
Warm regards
