Helen I. Shaw
Helen I. Shaw peacefully passed away at her home in Washougal on Monday, April 6, 2015. Born on September 14, 1923 in Mt. Holly Springs, Pennsylvania to Charles E. and Hazel Ilgenfritz; Helen was 91 years old.
A former resident of Maine; Helen worked in customer service in the healthcare industry. In Maine, she and her husband Fernald Shaw were members of the United Methodist Church in Minot, Maine. Helen was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Fernald "Fern" Shaw; daughter-in-law Cheri Shaw; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Robert Shaw.
There will be no local services. Private interment will be held Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls, Maine. Straub's Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
