Genevieve Belz Lindgren
Genevieve Belz was born on Feb. 29, 1924 in Camas, Washington and attended Camas Schools graduating from Camas High School in 1942. She attended George Fox University, then graduated from University of Washington in 1947. In 1946, she married Don Lindgren. In her life, she was a homemaker, a Campfire Girl leader, a Sunday School teacher and later, an office manager for Don's architectural business. In retirement, she and Don went on 5 cruises, 4 guided bus tours and several driving trips with a AAA book in one hand and maps in the other.
Genevieve is survived by her four daughters, Marilyn Delano Duane, Jan Younce Dan, Karen Cooper Mike and Lonnelle Sawyer Noel all of Vancouver. She is also survived by two brothers, Lloyd Belz and Ed Belz both of Prineville. She has 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Don, her granddaughter Karli Carson Cole and her 2 great-granddaughters Serenity and Sophia Cole.
Genevieve will be buried in Camas Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 pm at Vancouver First Friends Church, 2710 NE 65th Ave, Vancouver, 98661. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Twin Rocks Friends Conference, P.O. Box 6, Rockaway Beach, Oregon 97136. Genevieve will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
