BARBARA CLARA PESHON
January 23, 1916 - February 22, 2014
Barbara Peshon was born in Washougal on a snowy day January 23, 1916 to Max and Anna Schmid. She was one of six children. In 1937 Barb married her love, Ed Peshon and the two of them were a frequent sight on the links of Orchard Hills Golf Club for over 30 years. Laughter and fun were an intrinsic part of the Peshon household and this joy of life was shared with their many friends as well.
Barb is survived by her loving daughter, Chris Gartin and husband, Don Gartin, daughter, Joan Lewis, her 100 year old brother, Max Schmid and many nephews and nieces. Her deep love of family was felt by all, never forgetting a birthday of sibling, nieces, nephews or friends. She was famous for her rocky road candy and other goodies. Hummingbirds and all birds counted her friend for she always kept them well fed. For many years she supplied Share House and St. Vincent de Paul with her bright, colorful hand crocheted hats and baby blankets during the cold winter months.
She joins her husband, Ed Peshon, and her sisters and brothers, Arnold, Josephine, George and Annie for a bit more fun and mischief. Life is not over for Barb, it is just taking a different path.
