Ackerman Family I've know Ila for many years when I shopped at Camas Furniture, then I went to work there with her in early 80's. She was always up beat and great to work with. She loved people and her family... She will be missed by all that knew her... May you find comfort knowing you have a special Angel watching over you....
When I married and moved to Washougal Shorty was one of the first people I met. Shorty was so welcoming - friendly and full of personality. She and Dick were neighbors of sorts...a couple miles apart. They were good friends with Tom's parents.....many good memories. Everyone seemed to know her from working at the Camas Furniture Store and she was highly thought of in her job. She was such a straightforward honest person and Tom and I will fondly always remember her.
I've known Ila all of my life. She was without a doubt one of the most loving, sincere and beautiful people I ever knew. Ila was one of the "special" ones. Dick and Ila: The world was a better place while you were here. God bless you both!
Many times "Shorty" helped us shop for furniture. Until she rode the Senior citizens casino bus I did not know her name was actually Ila. Sorry for your loss of a lovely person.
Ila will be dearly missed by many people. I knew Ila for about 5yrs. And in that time I realized she was a very loving and sweet lady. She made everyone smile no matter what mood you were in she lifed your spirits. She was always smiling no matter how hard times were. God gained a very special and beautiful angel. And she will be forever missed and never forgotten. I love you Ila.
Todd Ackerman and Family,
I am so sorry. Your Mom was always a blast to talk to and treated your friends like they lived at the house. I also remember those big cans of honey roasted peanuts and watching the Blazers on the BIG EYE.
Many condolences,
Boyd Malcom and Family
