Obituary of Janet Marie Boone

Janet M. Boone returned to her Lord on Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home in Washougal. Born on August 25, 1937 in Omaha, Nebraska to Carl and Hazel Selby Arp; Janet was 76 years old. A graduate of Camas High School; Janet married the love of her life Donald Boone on September 17, 1955. She worked for Crown Zellerbach, Pendleton Woolen Mills, and eventually retired from the Bakery at the Camas Safeway. She was a member of the Community Church of God in Washougal; and enjoyed bowling, volleyball, playing horse shoes, and travelling. Janet was a wonderful mother and loving person who was a devout Christian. She will be forever missed and never forgotten. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Donald Boone at home; daughters Colleen Skip Jacobs of Ocean Park, Washington; Diane Boone of Washougal; Debra David Mattila of Washougal; sister Carol John Moultrum of Chico, California; brothers Robert Yolanda Arp of Murrieta, California; and Richard Arp of Ocean Park, Washington; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of Janet's life on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Community Church of God: 750 6th Street, Washougal, WA 98671. Private interment will be held at the Camas Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home and Columbia River Cremation in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
