KAY PARSONS
Kay Parsons passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Born on June 9, 1930 in Los Gatos, California to Boyd and Martha Baum Parsons; Kay was 83 years old.
A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Portland; Kay went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later went on to own and operate Independent Marine Propeller in Portland, Oregon and lived the last 30 years in the Portland metro area including Vancouver and Camas. Kay enjoyed golfing, fishing, snow-skiing, bird hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Kay is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years Eileen Parsons of Camas; daughter Lynda Peter Parsons-Walker; son Steve Patti Parsons; step-daughters Sharon Rich Doggett and April Tom Freund-Gredvig; sister Helen Nold; brother Denny Marina Bravo; and grandchildren Kyle, McKay, Chase, Davin, Mac, Erica, and Alyssa.
There will be a memorial service of Kay's life on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at Straub's Funeral Home: 325 NE 3rd Avenue, Camas, WA 98607 with reception to follow.
