ROGER L. FOSTER June 19, 1939 ~ December 20, 2013 Roger L. Foster, 74, passed away at home on Fri., Dec. 20, 2013, surrounded by family. He was born on June 19, 1939 in East St. Louis, IL.
Roger served as a Marine in Vietnam until 1964. After returning, he went to work for American Steel Foundry. Roger married Judi in 1967. They had known each other all their lives because of their family's attendance at Winstanley Baptist Church in East St. Louis. That same year, Roger started his railroad career with Burlington Northern in St. Louis, MO. The family transferred to Wenatchee, WA, Great Falls, MT, and ended up in Vancouver, WA. Roger retired from railroading after 32 years of service. After retiring, he was a marshal at Tri Mountain Golf Course. He really enjoyed his golf and his golf friends. Roger loved his family and all the people around him. He made friends with everybody and had his own way of making everyone feel special.
Roger is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judi; his daughter, Heather Foster-Cosgrove Bob; his son, Ted St. Clair Shari; his brother, Bobby; and twin brothers, Dale and Darrell Linda; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends and loved ones.
