EDYTHE M. PILLER Edythe Merrell Cowan Piller peacefully slipped away on Dec. 8th 2013 to be with her Lord. She was 97 years old and living at Prestige Care in Camas. Edythe was born on Oct 23, 1916 at White Gate farm above Washougal. She moved to Camas as a young girl where she later married Tony Piller and worked by his side as the secretary and accountant for their family business, Camas Welding Edythe was an active member of St. John's Presbyterian church where she helped in the office and as a Sunday school teacher. Her passion and hobby was her family. She was a devoted wife and a fun loving parent to her 4 children, her 8 grandchildren and her many great grandchildren, not to mention all the nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids that dropped by for warm chocolate chip cookies and even warmer companionship. She was a cub scout and girl scout leader. She is survived by 29 nieces and nephews, her three daughters, Julie, Jinnie and Joyce, and her sister, Millie Kirkpatrick of Camas, her 8 grand children and her 20 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Tony and her son Jerry Piller. A memorial service will be held at St. Johns Presbyterian Church on Jan 4th at 11 am.
