BUD BROWN
Bud was born on June 11th, 1956 in Darby, Pennsylvania and passed away early Wednesday morning in his home in Camas, Washington on November 20, 2013. Bud is survived by his wife Polly, married for 28 years, their daughter KatherineKate Brown, his mother Julia Brown, brothers Stephen Brown wife Deborahof Kennett Square, PA, John Brown wife Dianeof Holmes, PA and sister Betty Anne Buonocore of Ridley Park, PA and many adoring aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Bud grew up in Holmes, PA and attended Our Lady of Fatima school, Cardinal O'Hara High School and St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. He was a fan of all things, "Philadelphia" including his beloved Eagles football team. Bud had a passion for ice hockey; both coaching and playing for over 20 years; and enjoying hockey in later years as a spectator.
Bud was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He loved his Catholic faith and the Parish of St. Thomas and served the Parish in many capacities. As both Pastoral Council member and Chairperson Bud helped create and bring long standing events to the parish. One of his most beloved contributions to the Parish was that of Jr. High Youth Catechist. Bud served proudly as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, working tirelessly on Thanksgiving dinners for those in need, firework fundraisers, wood cuts and church picnics.
Bud's funeral was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 324 NE Camas, WA 98607 at 10 am Monday 25, 2013, following a Rosary Vigil Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Bud's memory be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 324 NE Oak Street, Camas WA.
