WILLIAM D. MOFFET, JR.
William Moffet, age 78, passed away on June 21, 2013. He was born on November 27, 1934 in Seattle, WA where he grew up. After high school he joined the Coast Guard. After his service he married Clara Naples in 1958 and they had four children. They later divorced. William moved to Morton, WA where he owned and operated Morton's Supply & Equipment for 30 years. In 1970 he married Sheila Moore and together they had one child. In 1990 the moved to Puyallup, WA and he worked for Western Fleet Supply. He retired in 2003 and they moved to Washougal to be closer to family. He worked with his daughter, Melanie at Youngevity for 10 years. He liked watching NASCAR and restoring old cars.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; children, Melanie Ivan Hooper of Washougal; William Moffet, III of Seattle, WA; Laurence Moffet Angela of Lake Taps, WA; Patti Evans of Puyallup, WA and Linda Moffett of Bonney Lake, WA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 28 at 11AM at the Lutheran Church 400 S 2nd St. Morton, WA 98356. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be made to the Columbia Gorge Humane Society in Washougal.
