DONALD H. LINDGREN
Donald H. Lindgren passed away on April 18, 2013 at the age of 89. He was born on September 20, 1923 in Portland, Oregon and lived many places during his childhood. He graduated from Camas High School in 1941 and from the University of Washington following his return from WWII where he served in the 70th Division of the Army. He married Genevieve Belz in 1946 and enjoyed 66 years of marriage. He was an architect in Vancouver and designed over 80 churches in the Northwest, as well as many college buildings for George Fox University.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve and his four daughters and their families, Marilyn and Duane Delano, Janice and Dan Younce, Karen and Mike Cooper, and Lonnelle and Noel Sawyer, all of Vancouver. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Don is a member of Vancouver First Friends Church, Purple Heart Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He leaves a legacy of love for his Lord Jesus as well as love for his family.
A private family graveside will be held at the camas Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 1PM at the 1st Friends Church at 2710 NE 65th Ave. in Vancouver.
