Obituary of Virgil M. Frank
Virgil Frank went to dance with abandon on the streets of heaven on June 19 2024.
He was born on February 1st 1966 in Lagrande, OR to Kenneth and Claire Frank.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; father of Brandon Frank of Nampa, ID, Cameron Frank of Washougal, WA and stepson Ryan Olsen of Lagrande, OR; proud grandfather of Mya Frank, ( Janel, MaKayla, Jacob, AnnaBella, Leo, Christian, Rosie, Hope, Aryan, and Hazel Olsen); Sisters Lorelie (Pat) Kelly, Christina Frank; Brothers Richard (Lynda) Frank, Tony Frank, Danny Frank, Phillip (Josie) Frank; his mother Claire Frank; His brother-n-law Jim (Lisa) Johnson.
He was raised in Cove, OR where he graduated high School. He started working for Union Pacific Railroad in 1993 and worked for over 30 years while raising his family while looking forward to retiring in 2026.
Virgil enjoyed fishing, hiking, traveling and wandering the Pacific Northwest with his family. He was a loving grandfather and cherished all the moments he spent with them. He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences: mechanic, fisherman, contractor- he could fix or build anything.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them- and if you knew him, you knew it. He will be missed dearly.
In typical Virgl fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
He was preceded in death by his father Ken Frank, sister Susan Aleson and grandson Joshua Olsen.
