Obituary of Terry Lee Cosentino

Terry Lee Cosentino, b. May 24, 1949, died on January 28, 2024, after a two-year fight with terminal bladder cancer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, son Corey Cosentino (wife Jenni), stepsons Benjamin and Nicholas Shields (wife Sarissa), and his granddaughter Zeverli Cosentino. He was preceded in death by his son Mason Cosentino.

 

Terry was born in Seattle and grew up in the Seattle/Tacoma area. He had a very difficult childhood, but through it all, maintained his sense of humor, and his curiosity about the world, and persevered to become a teacher, principal, and coach. He loved working with students, always finding new, engaging ways to present topics to make them relevant to his students’ lives.

 

After retiring from education, he was able to get back to playing the drums, another of his great loves, and was able to play with a couple of bands in the area, which he enjoyed immensely. Terry also loved gardening and took a lot of pride in our yard, keeping it well-manicured.

 

Finally, Terry loved his family very much and was able to say his goodbyes before his death. He will be sorely missed but remembered with much love and a smile.
