Nancylee Gabrielson-Schepley-Yott, 83 years old, from Washougal, Washington overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge sadly left us on December 23, 2023 from Cerebrovascular/Dementia Disease. Both husbands, James Schepley and Alfred Yott were predeceased. She was born in Martinez, California on February 19, 1940 to Lloyd and Virginia Gabrielson. She had two brothers, Edward Gabrielson-predeceased (Lugene) from Hayward, CA. and Richard Gabrielson (Pam) from Holbrook, CA. She graduated from Hayward High in 1957 and lived in Castro Valley, Woodland and Napa California. She studied art at Napa College under Frank Altamura and attended the Portland Art School when she moved to Milwaukie, Oregon in 1977. In 1980 she lived in Portland, Tigard and then to the beautiful Columbia Gorge area in Washington. She is survived by three adult children, daughter – Colleen Schepley Hankins-Cook (Lenny) of Vancouver, WA; son – Timothy Joseph Yott (Nicky) of Washougal, WA; daughter – Barbara Yott Gray (Dave) of Washougal, WA; Rhonda Yott Johnson and nine+ grandchildren, Fallon Hankins, Arieanna Divine, Taylor, Gabriel and McKenzie Yott, Christopher and Heather Whitman and Kelsy and Colby Gray, Tessa Schafer, Lara Hale, and Jeremiah and Gloria Yates. She also had over 12+ great grandchildren. Nancylee loved her family and thrived being a part of their lives!

Nancylee was a lively vibrant loving and generous human being. She was always involved in her community and church. She served as a Sunday School teacher and on church committees for many years. She was Skamania Senior Center’s Secretary for 7 years. She was an artist and saw life through a creative lens. She was a woman of wisdom – a lifelong learner, always parenting and loving her family! She loved to socialize, paint, sing, dance, write, create, enjoy nature, tend to her gardens and loved rainbows. She wanted peace and harmony in the world. She managed 8 acres of property and raised 2 children. Along with being a homemaker, she also worked for Culligan Soft Water Service in the 1960’s. She sold real estate at Tarbel Realty and was a retail clerk at Glenoma Grocery in the 1970’s. She was part owner of The Midi Market in Redmond, Oregon, part owner and graphic artist of Adnet Marketing and Property Manager of Raleigh Scholl’s Complex in Portland, Oregon.

Celebration of Life is August 10, 2024, at the Vancouver Church of God – 3300 NE 78 th Street, Vancouver WA from 1-3 pm in the Fireside Room. Please let Colleen know if you’ll be attending. If you can, please bring a favorite memory and/or a piece of art of moms to share. We ask that Flower deliveries arrive at the church 8:30-noon prior to the service. We will be celebrating mom and her favorite things! After services event details will be provided.
