(Victor) Mark Sundseth passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2023. Born in Bellingham, Washington, Mark spent most of his growing up years in Golden, Colorado. After high school he joined the Navy as a photographer. He served his four years and then spent his 20s finding himself working in ski areas, the forest service, the US Senate, among other adventures. Eventually he ended up back in Bellingham where he got a BS in manufacturing engineering at Western Washington University and coached his beloved ski-team, taking the cross-country team to Nationals his final year. Later, Mark got his MBA at Pacific Lutheran University. His career was spent in a variety of manufacturing environments.
Mark is survived by his wife, Meg Hunter Sundseth; son, Travis Sundseth (Anna); daughters, Kelli Dizmang (Scott) and Nicola Alderson (Jason Prather) and grandchildren, Charles and Ellyse Dizmang.
Mark will be remembered for his friendliness, sense of humor, generosity and always being ready for an adventure. He loved telling a good story, skiing, golfing, road trips, but most of all his family, including his very much adored grandchildren, and the many friendships he accumulated along his way.
Mark was a faithful member of St. Anne's Episcopal church in Washougal, where a celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024.
